Charles Marohn will be delivery a plenary session and a breakout session at the 2015 Utah League of Cities and Towns annual convention. His plenary is titled Financial Resiliency for Cities and Towns.

We're also doing a Strong Towns Meetup from 11:30 - 1:00 at the Market Street Grill - Downtown. This is a great opportunity to meet Strong Towns members and supporters along with our friends from CNU Utah! Please RSVP to help give us a sense of how many people to expect.

League of Cities Session Information

Chuck Marohn from the group Strong Towns will challenge us to look at some new ideas on how we are going to handle the growth that is coming our way. In this opening session on Planner’s Day Chuck will review ideas of the suburban era we need to shed and proposes strategies for adjusting to the new realities we face. He will let us know how cities and towns can make high-return investments and update methods for evaluating the financial viability of a building or transportation project.

At 2:00 PM, Marohn will host a interactive workshop as a follow up to the Curbside Chat.
