Strong Towns Member Meet-up (Wednesday)

Location: McShane's Pub (1460 Michigan)

Join your fellow Strong Towns members and staff for a drink or a bite to eat. Feel free to hang out all night, or tag along to the NextGen pub crawl when it arrives at McShane's.


Strong Towns Podcast Interviews (Thursday & Friday)

Time: 9:00am - 4:30pm, each day

Location: Detroit Opera House Lobby (1526 Broadway St)

Sit in on live recordings of the Strong Towns podcast, as Chuck Marohn conducts interviews with various friends of Strong Towns and New Urbanist leaders. Interviews will be held throughout the day so check in at the Strong Towns interview spot to see what's happening.

The annual NextGen debate (Friday)

Time: 8:30-10:00pm

Location: Detroit Beer Co (1529 Broadway)

Strong Towns has had the privilege of hosting this event for several years in a row. This year, debaters will tackle two pressing, contentious topics: gentrification and autonomous cars. It promises to be a fun, interactive evening with judges John Anderson, Hazel Borys and Howard Blackson. Audience votes will determine the winner. This event is free and open to the public.

Detroit Walking Tour (Saturday)

Time: 9:00am - 10:30am

Location: TBD

Join Jim Kunstler, Steve Mouzon and Chuck Marohn for a walking tour of some Detroit neighborhoods. They'll observe and discuss the environment, as well as take questions. This walking tour will be recorded for the podcast. THIS EVENT IS FULL.
