Housing is not coming back
Thursday, January 27, 2011 Many of our nation's public officials are of the belief that housing is going to recover, and in recovering, it is going to bring back the entire construction-fed extravaganza that made their budgets look good and their jobs much easier. This belief is not based on any facts or even a basic understanding of the housing and construction markets, but a gut intuition that, "it just has to recover." It won't, and Chuck Marohn spends this podcast going through a 2006 speech that Peter Schiff gave to a group of mortgage bankers to show why.
