Charles Marohn will lead a variety of presentations and workshops as part of a Regional Active Transportation Forum—Smarter, Sustainable and Connected Communities: Moving Orange County Forward with ONE voice—hosted by the Alliance for a Healthy Orange County.
Walking Tour (7:15-8:45am)
Join us attendees at the Forum for an early morning walk through the Delhi neighborhood led by Charles Marohn. Throughout the tour, Marohn will touch on hot-button topics such as housing, transportation, and the importance of multi-level collaboration in helping solve the issues we face today.
The walk will begin and end at the Delhi Center. Special registration is required. Register for the walking tour.
Keynote Presentation (9:45-10:45am)
Charles Marohn will give a presentation on key Strong Towns concepts focusing on why American towns are going broke and how we can shift this trajectory toward a better future.
A Tale of Three Cities in North Orange County: Active Transportation in Anaheim, Garden Grove and Santa Ana (2:15-3:15pm)
Chuck Marohn will moderate a panel discussion, with panelists to be determined. In every city, optimizing active transportation options takes leadership, dedication, and vision. And in every city, leaders must take unique approaches to leverage the partnerships and solutions that fit their political, economic, and physical environments. Join us to learn from three cities as they share what approaches are working and what they’ve learned from their peers in other cities. Take home tools, techniques, strategies, and inspiration to increase sustainable safe walking, biking and rolling in your community.

We'll be gathering at the Anaheim Packing House, 440 S. Anaheim Blvd, at 7:30pm on Friday, September 22nd. Registration for the Regional Active Transportation Forum not required; feel free to bring a friend!
