Strong Towns President Chuck Marohn will visit Pensacola, FL’s Annual CivicCon to celebrate their victory in the 2019 Strongest Town contest, and to talk about how they can get even stronger in the years to come.

Marohn was CivicCon’s very first speaker nearly two years ago. He remains one of CivicCon's most popular speakers ever and will talk about next steps for Pensacola to continue to make itself a better place to live, work and thrive. Many of the ideas he shared in his first appearance have been echoed by most of the CivicCon speakers that followed him. He urges towns to invest in small, low-risk, high-return projects rather than by building industrial parks that remain mostly empty or under-utilized in small and medium size cities across the country. He will describe why Pensacola was selected as one of 16 cities nationally to be a finalist for the Strongest Towns annual award. Pensacola won the contest this spring.
