Strong Towns leadership team member, John Reuter, will be giving a Curbside Chat presentation at the annual Cache Summit on November 12, 2020.
In the Curbside Chat, we explain, in plain language, how so many American cities have found themselves in decline after decades of “growth.” The problem lies in the current model of development — one which values short-term gains over long-term prosperity. To strengthen our cities and ensure their economic success, we must look to traditional ways of building cities. In this presentation, we show how active citizens, local officials and design professionals can change the negative trajectory in their towns and help them to become more resilient — no matter what challenges lie ahead.

Cache Summit
November 12, 2020
Presentation time: 12:15-1:15pm GMT
The Cache Summit was started in 2015 when local representatives from the private and public sectors recognized a need for ongoing coordination between local governments and home builders on growth and development issues in Cache Valley. The summit provides a forum for discussing critical growth issues, provides education addressing local planning needs, and brings people together to tackle tough development issues. Developers, builders, planners, lenders, consultants, educators, realtors, elected officials and many others have all attended the summit since its inception. It has definitely become an "Annual Gathering to Discuss the Vision and Growth of Cache Valley."
