Yesterday I had a fantastic day volunteering at the Minnesota State Fair in the sweltering heat and then, best of all, had a fantastic time with my friends at the first Strong Towns on Tap in Minneapolis. Everything went really well and I got to meet and chat with a lot of really interesting people. It was an awesome feeling to connect with so many new friends right here at home.
Today is the last Friday of summer. Next Friday both of my girls will be back in school (tear) and I will be on my way to Imagining North Adams for a Curbside Chat in Massachusetts. The weather outside today is mild and this just feels like a Friday I need to fully embrace.
So, please pardon me if I cop out on the News Digest today. I am going to finish editing the new podcast from the Strong Towns on Tap event, which I guarantee you'll like, but today I'm going to play hooky from the blog.
Enjoy the final hours of summer.
