Less Than 24 Hours To Vote in the 2022 Strongest Town Contest SWEET SIXTEEN

We’ve had a lot fun this week at Strong Towns promoting the voting for the seventh annual Strongest Town Contest Sweet 16 Round. There’s a hot race in Texas, a tough head-to-head in the Midwest, and the battle is on in the West between Durango, Colorado, and Santa Clara, California. Which town is stronger: Yellow Springs, Ohio, or Salem, Massachusetts?

We received dozens of nominations for this year’s contest, from cities all across North America and we are about to narrow the contestants down to an Elite Eight—with your help. Check out these Sweet 16 Matchups, read their entries, and then make your picks. Deadline to vote is Thursday, March 3, at noon CT.

Strong Towns staff chose sixteen finalists and now the contest is in your hands. Above are the eight first round Sweet 16 matchups displayed in the overall contest bracket. Nominees answered questions on a range of topics, from how they are addressing transportation to economic resilience to housing choices. When you click through to vote in each matchup, you can read their responses. Let the games begin! Let’s find the 2022 Strongest Town for 2022. We’ll announce the Elite Eight here on Friday.
