Each month, Friends of the Brainerd Public Library presents a discussion with local authors for its Brown Bag Authors series.

February’s author is Strong Towns founder and president Charles Marohn, who will discuss his book Strong Towns: A Bottom-Up Revolution to Rebuild American Prosperity.

Strong Towns is a book of forward-thinking ideas that breaks with conventional wisdom to present a new vision of urban development in the United States. In addition to explaining why towns and cities of all sizes continue to struggle to meet their basic needs, the book reveals a new paradigm that can solve this longstanding problem and build stronger, more livable, and financially resilient communities.

No registration is necessary for this event. Just come and enjoy the light refreshments provided or bring a bag lunch over your lunch break.
