"Strong Towns is Much More Than a Media Organization"

Seated at your desk, reading one of the over 10,000 articles from Strong Towns or listening to one of our latest podcast episodes, it’s easy to forget that Strong Towns is much more than a media organization. We are a nonprofit inspiring a bottom-up revolution—a revolution led by members of the Strong Towns movement in communities of all sizes across North America.

And I feel you, truly: with a dozen new posts every week, including three weekly podcast episodes, our content may claim the lion’s share of your familiarity with the Strong Towns movement.

That’s why this week—as we launch our week-long fall member drive—we’re hosting live programs in the Strong Towns Facebook group with Strong Towns members, staff, and advocates that demonstrate how our content has inspired them to take action in their communities.

This morning, Strong Towns president and founder Chuck Marohn kicked off the programming with an inspiring reflection of his past few months on the road for the Strong America Tour, as well as why this is the most important member drive to date. (You can watch the recording here.)

And, goodness, we have much more planned:

If you enjoy our content and believe in the much-needed message of financially resiliency it delivers, I have a favor to ask of you: this week, as we encourage people to become members of the Strong Towns movement (and celebrate the over 2,000 existing members!), join the Strong Towns Facebook group to witness the movement in action.

And I promise: after hearing community-boosting testimonies from Strong Towns members, live podcast recordings, and much more, you’ll discover that Strong Towns members—above all—have created and fostered this movement (and, golly, we hope you’ll join us).
