Find Out More About Our Open Staff Writer Position

We’re currently hiring for a full-time, remote staff writer at Strong Towns to help amplify our organization’s message, particularly for our five core campaigns: End Highway Expansion, Safe and Productive Streets, Incremental Housing, End Parking Mandates and Transparent Local Accounting

You can read all about the job opening here and make sure to submit your initial application (literally just giving us your email address to tell us you’d like to be part of the process) by October 9.

Many of you had questions about this role and we just hosted a Q&A briefing to answer as many of those as we could. If you’re curious to learn more, we encourage you to watch that briefing video below.

Some questions addressed include:

  • Would this position be suitable for experienced writers that have an interest in but next-to-zero experience/knowledge about the listed topics laid out in Strong Town's mission?

  • What's the onboarding process like?

  • Is it okay to work from outside of the U.S. if one is able to work in the necessary time zone?

  • What makes working for Strong Towns fun?

  • And many more.

Not the job for you? We’ve also got two other positions currently open: an action team coordinator and a video content creator. Both are also hosting Q&A briefings later this week and next.
