Noah Tang

Noah Tang is an alumni of Illinois State University's History program for both his bachelor's and master's degrees. He has taught social studies at Bloomington High School since 2019, earning the 2025 Classroom Teacher Educator of Excellence Award by the Illinois State Board of Education. In his free time, Noah has deeply connected himself to the local community as co-founder of the School Street Food Pantry in 2018, the Bloomington-Normal Community Land Trust in 2023, and Strong Towns Blono in 2021. As president of Strong Towns Blono, Noah works to foster a vibrant, safe, economically and environmentally sustainable, and livable community through advocacy, grassroots action, and building social capital.
