Ruben Garza is an attorney and Local Conversation leader for Strong Towns Houston. He is also currently on the board of directors for Texans for Housing. A lifelong Texan and temporary Ohioan, Ruben has always been passionate about safe streets, multi-modal transit, and affordable housing in every city he’s lived in. Discovering Strong Towns opened his eyes to a new way of viewing cities and what it means to be strong. Ruben’s current Strong Towns adventure is working with organizers in Houston to eliminate parking mandates citywide. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University and his J.D. and Master’s from The Ohio State University.
