Edward Erfurt will be speaking this September in Dallas at this first-of-its kind workshop — held at Tyler Station in Dallas, Texas — focusing on the Forgotten Fundamentals of economic development. You will learn how to build an economic development approach that keeps more profits local, manages growth in a way that financially benefits the community, and builds a local economy that is both more diversified, resilient, and grows local entrepreneurs.
This gathering will be held in Tyler Station, a 110,000-square-foot redevelopment of a 1920’s factory in Dallas’s Oak Cliff neighborhood that boasts 85 businesses, coworking spaces, artists, shops, and restaurants. Developed without public subsidy, Tyler Station demonstrates the economic potential of cultivating local entrepreneurs and investing in small business. The venue is located along a DART light rail line offering easy access to the city.
