Strong Towns Founder Chuck Marohn will give the keynote address at the 2026 Housing Matters Symposium, hosted by the Polk County Housing Trust Fund.
The symposium is a free, half-day event featuring local and national voices on housing solutions for Central Iowa. This year's event focuses on community-scale solutions that expand housing choices and strengthen neighborhoods.
In his keynote, Chuck will explore the history of housing policy in the United States. He'll show how those policies relate to the current housing crisis and share rational responses that cities can take to address their housing shortages.
