Strong Towns Lancaster and the Coalition for Sustainable Housing proudly welcome nationally known expert and bestselling author Charles “Chuck” Marohn to town on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 13, for a public forum on solving the housing crisis through a grassroots, bottom-up approach.

The topic of the forum could not be more timely: Like much of the U.S., Lancaster County has an acute housing crisis. Median home sale prices reached a record $365,000 this summer. More than 4 in 10 county renters are cost-burdened (paying more than 30% of their income for housing). In January, 546 homeless individuals were counted in local shelters or on the streets; LNP recently reported that around 2,600 K12 students in Lancaster County lacked a home of their own in 2023-24.
