Join us in Lawrence, Kansas, for a two-day in-person event for transportation professionals, advocates, and community members from across the state. You'll deepen your understanding of the current state of active transportation in Kansas and build valuable partnerships as you learn how to improve walking, biking, and rolling in your community through workshops, presentations, and other activities.
The Crash Analysis Studio is a model for examining traffic crashes to uncover what they reveal about street design and community safety. Rather than treating crashes as random events, the Studio helps participants see the broader patterns and systemic issues that contribute to dangerous conditions. Edward Erfurt, Strong Towns' chief technical advisor, will lead participants through real-world examples of crash sites, analyze contributing factors, and discuss incremental, low-cost solutions that can make streets safer and more productive.
