Join SPARC and the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the City of Salinas, for “The Salinas Community’s Action Plan: A Results-Oriented Solution to Housing Production,” on Thursday, November 20, 2025.

This free public forum—timed to coincide with the city’s General Plan and Zoning Code updates—will bring together potential developers, small-scale builders, and community leaders committed to producing real, near-term housing solutions. Charles Marohn, founder and president of Strong Towns, will deliver the keynote address, sharing practical strategies communities can implement right away to strengthen local resilience and foster sustainable growth. The event will also feature experts from the Incremental Development Alliance, who will highlight how code literacy and flexible financing can empower residents—especially in historically marginalized neighborhoods—to build wealth and expand homeownership opportunities.
